About University of Niagara Falls Canada

The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF)

The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is an innovative and digitally oriented institution that prepares graduates for leadership in a digital world. This technology-centred approach puts students first, offering a cutting-edge learning framework that is adapted as technology changes and new processes emerge. Students learn from industry leaders and highly experienced faculty, gain experience through work-integrated learning components, and build a solid foundation that sets them on the right path for success in their careers.

Our interdisciplinary programs are designed to address the ever-evolving needs of the global workforce, today and in the future. Our focus is on equipping students with the ability to navigate the intricacies of the digital age while empowering them with the opportunities, expertise, and vision to lead the way forward and address the widening digital skills gap.

Our vision

UNF’s vision is innovative education and research for a digital world. Academic programs are aligned to meet the needs of business and industry, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed now and for the future.

Governance

UNF has a system of governance similar to the bicameral system in place at many other Canadian universities. The Board of Governors is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the university including fiduciary, legal, and financial responsibility, with a role and mandate similar to that of Boards of Governors for public universities. The Academic Council consists of broad representation of senior administrative staff, faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Decisions about academic programs, policies, and standards are made by the Academic Council.

Why choose UNF?
